Friends From Near and Far

We are phenomenally lucky! Most couple have only one or two other couples or individuals that they can call really good friends. For whatever reason, and only a fool would question it, we have many more than the average. Some are extremely old friends (how can they be "extremely old" when we are still so young?) and other newer friends. And then their are those that are less close but nonetheless special to us. This page is for them, new or  old but all important and all friends that we depend on and love.

Al Nitta was in town in August and we met at Roosevelt's. He's doing a lot of bike riding (the type you pedal not the  Hog type) and enjoying it thoroughly. He didn't mention his golf game and discretion being the better part of valor I didn't ask. Aside from a little more gray he doesn't age a bit. 

The Reich twins are growing quickly and the are several new grandchildren around or expected in the near future. We will periodically update this page as we get photos and they make their appearence. 

The Movie Group.

Since 1987, a group of guys, participant names change over the years and the number keeps growing, has been getting together on Wendesday evening for dinner and a movie. The criterea? No wives (guess that means girlfriends, mistresses and significant others could come but dont't bet on it). Seating at the theatre is with one empty seat between each member (considering what we see that is usually not an issue). I joined the group in 2003, makes me still a newbie by their standards. But we have seen some of the best and worst movies made in years.More important we have  made some  good friends.  With the exception of the newest Batman movie, The Dark Knight which we saw at the Imax  there was nothing spectacular  though a few of the movies were good as Wendesday night movies. Pineapple Express was a lemon but I did laugh! Traitor seemed to be missing something but was ok. Didn't go to see Mirror .
